Cafe Kreyol – Organic Haitian Caribbean Blue Coffee - USDA Certified Organic

The lightest of our Haitian Blue coffees, yet extraordinarily low in acid! Grown at a high altitude of Haiti's tropical mountain region, and identical to the Arabica Blue Mountain of Jamaica, this roast has a creamy body, nutty and sweet flavor profile, and a buttery finish. At Cafe Kreyol we utilize the farming of this bean to create sustainable employment opportunities for farming families in Haiti and we happily pay the cooperative 300% higher wages than Fair Trade standards, not out of charity, but because the product is exceptional.

    Not as expected

I didn’t like this coffee at all. It seemed weak, looked the color of tea, even when I put extra beans in my brew. It also was filled with chaff, which I had to look up to see what it was because I thought it had bugs in it. I love Jamaican blue Mountain coffee and was hoping this was comparable, but I was very disappointed.

I felt like the coffee tasted like dirt. I don’t recommend it.

Very, VERY moldy. So much so that I ended throwing half of the bag away.

It's a sad thing because the taste was good. The roast is more of a blond one, but I liked the taste.

    Spectacular Coffee

I was introduced to the Haitian Blue varietal in the 90s. I have drank Kona, Blue Mountain, and Mexican Coatepec from Veracruz. Haitian Blue ranks extremely High. I love the butter and nut flavors. It's truly in a class of its own. Thanks for making this available. Please try to source the Mexican Coatepec coffee. They are as good as Kona and High Altitude Caribbean varieties.
