A Taste of Home, Made Simple
I’m Sam Valme, founder of Dinner Ideas Collective and author of Dinner Ideas for the Haitian Cook. I grew up in a home where food told our story. My parents brought Haiti into our kitchen through the smell of epis on the stove, the sound of Creole music, and the rhythm of Sunday meals.
Years later, I started sharing Haitian recipes online to honor that tradition, and discovered that so many of us were looking for the same thing: a way to reconnect with the flavors we grew up with, even with busy lives. Dinner Ideas Collective was born from that love and nostalgia.
Today, our goal is simple, to help you enjoy authentic Haitian flavors at home with ease.
