This book is so nostalgic! It has all the recipes that have been made by my family and the people at my church. Many of these I don’t know how to make but am excited to try! I know every cook adds their own touch so I think these are foundational and a great way to make each recipe your own. I wonder if they will taste like how I remember bc some seasonings are missing but remember everyone adds their own touch. I do wish each of the recipes had their own image of the finished product. I absolutely loved the beginning with all the vocabulary. It’s probably my favorite part of the book. I can’t wait to expand my culinary knowledge of my culture.

I was going through the book and all the directions are pretty straight forward if you have any idea already on how to cook these foods. There’s not much detail or depth for beginners to be able to use this details. So buy with caution.
