Taste the Islands is a popular Caribbean cooking TV series and trusted online resource for authentic island recipes. Known for celebrating flavors from across the Caribbean, the show also highlights Haitian cuisine famous for its bold spices, fresh herbs, and rich history. Haitians make up the largest non-Hispanic Caribbean community in the United States, and their food is beloved for its depth and tradition.

From the fiery crunch of Pikliz (pick-leez), to tender, marinated Griot (gree-oh), and the comforting Soup Joumou (soop joo-moo) enjoyed on Haitian Independence Day, these dishes capture the heart of Haitian cooking. This beautifully illustrated cookbook brings you these iconic recipes and many more, with easy-to-follow instructions and cultural notes that make every meal a taste of home.

Good Cookbook "A Taste of Haiti"

I am a certified purchaser and I do not know the author.I think the author did a very good job.For those complaining of lack of pictures, BEFORE you had cameras and you wanted grandma's recipe, what did you do? You wrote it down... chef's do that too.Wondering if the negative commenter READ the book? And Disproving Some reviewers claiming of missing ingredients: Ti Malice Sauce (p378 - 385 Kindle): Says makes 2 cups, servings 4 to 6 and pg 385 says ADD 2 CUPS WATER!And ZEPIS Recipe makes 1 quart and is under GROUND SPICES pg 391So, please Choose to be kind vs. mean spirited.
