About this item

  • Respe means Respect in Creole. A blend that connects the foothills of Sierra de San Juan, Mexico to Haiti. A flavor combination highlighting the best of both beans, with notes of chocolate & slightly sweet lemon. Respè celebrates a connection between Mexico and Haiti that began in 1816, when Mexican General Martin Javier Mina y Larrea traveled to Haiti to gain support for Mexico’s independence. Grown by small farming communities in both countries, with small batch processing at every step.

Best results are from using a French press

Such a good, rich Haitian coffee. The bold earth balances out the medium acidity perfectly. The heavenly aroma when you first grind this coffee is a real treat! Don't hesitate to get a couple of bags!

    Delicious coffee

This coffee is really good!High quality and a dark roast lovers dreams.Nice and oily, nice caffeine buzz. I found out that Haiti used to be the exporter of 70% of the world's coffee in the 70s(before I was born lol). I talk to older folks who rant and rave about it! So I'm glad that there's still some out there. It's a shame how Haiti has been treated. I hope they will rise again.
