Well made dual purpose pressure cooker pot

I was not expecting this Koch System pressure cooker to be so well made. The stainless steel pot has measurements on the inside wall. It came with 2 silicone gaskets for the inside of the pressure cooker lid. It also comes with a glass regular lid so you can use the pot without the pressure cooker. It also comes with a wire rack to raise the basket off the bottom of the pot. I cooked chicken breasts with barbecue sauce for 15 minutes under pressure at the 100 KPA setting. Once the pressure release valve closed, I reduced the heat to medium. After the timer went off I took the pot off the heat and let it cool down until the pressure valve dropped back down, then pressed the open button on the lid to release the locking mechanism and removed the lid. I really like the button locking mechanism and the fact you don't have to line up the lid and twist like other pressure cooker lids. The chicken was cooked perfectly and I was able to make shredded chicken. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the instruction manual is not well written. I needed to watch the video in the listing in order to understand how to use it properly. There needs to be revisions due to miss spellings and there appears to be a translation issue to English going on. This cooker is priced accordingly for the quality and is in line with other cookers in this category. I like that it is compatible with most stoves including induction. It has a 8 liter or 8.5 quart capacity. Everything but the pressure cooker lid is dishwasher safe and cleaned up nicely.

Reliable and Versatile Pressure Cooker — A Kitchen Must-Have!

This KOCH SYSTEME 8.5 Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker is fantastic! It heats up quickly and has three pressure settings, which makes cooking different dishes easy and efficient. The one-press locking system feels very secure, and I love that it’s induction compatible. The glass lid and steamer rack are great bonuses for versatile cooking. Cleanup is simple thanks to the stainless steel build.

    Wow!

I am really impressed with this pressure cooker. I have an instant pot but wanted to try something more traditional. The lid is amazing, so easy to use, and if you forget to turn down the heat when the pot reaches pressure, it blows off steam quite loudly for you to attend to it (ask how I found out lol). So easy to adjust the pressure setting to just what you want. The pot is really heavy and sturdy and comes with a glass lid, I have never had enough big pots or large enough and this is just totally delightful to finally have just what I need for pressure cooking and all other uses. Yay!! My kitchen feels more complete with this quality cookware.

Good pressure cooker with excellent features.

This pressure cooker has gone above and beyond with some really good features that you don't find on every item if it's type. The first thing is that it comes with a glass lid, with a metal handle so that you can use it as a regular saucepan if you wish. The metal is thick and durable, I think it would do fine even over the coals of a grated campfire in this configuration, as long as you take a few precautions to make sure that there's no open flame which could melt the plastic handles. The second feature I like is the pressure cooker lid. It has a dial that lets you control how much pressure builds up before it is released, measured in kilopascals from zero to 100. Another nice feature is that is not a twist on hood like most pressure cookers I have used in the past. You simply put the lid on the cooker and push the close button, so no needing to fumble with trying to get the pins into the slots and turning the lid to lock it. When you are done and the steam is released, you can push the open button to remove the clamps that keep the lid on, and a second rubber sealing ring to enable years of use before a replacement is needed. The pressure cooker also comes with an internal collader style basket, and a thorough set of instructions that even include a list of different foods and the recommended cooking times and cooking levels. This is necessary because food under pressure cooks much more quickly than it does in an unpressurized environment.I am very happy with this item, and would recommend it to others in the market for a similar product. As I have only had it for a little while now, I cannot speak to its long-term durability, but it seems to be the kind of product that would be in the family for years.
