This fun, family-friendly festival celebrates Caribbean culture, music, food, and togetherness. It was once known as the McDonough Caribbean Cultural Festival and keeps growing every year across Georgia.

Dinner Ideas Collective is such a gem! I love how they bring together traditional flavors with creative twists — it’s like rediscovering my culture through food. The recipes are easy to follow, super flavorful, and they remind me of home. From diri djon djon to legim and pikliz, everything hits! If you love Haitian food or want to explore it the right way, this is the page to follow.

This book is so nostalgic! It has all the recipes that have been made by my family and the people at my church. Many of these I don’t know how to make but am excited to try! I know every cook adds their own touch so I think these are foundational and a great way to make each recipe your own. I wonder if they will taste like how I remember bc some seasonings are missing but remember everyone adds their own touch. I do wish each of the recipes had their own image of the finished product. I absolutely loved the beginning with all the vocabulary. It’s probably my favorite part of the book. I can’t wait to expand my culinary knowledge of my culture.

This cookbook is a solid go-to for anyone looking to bring authentic Haitian flavors to the dinner table. A great everyday resource for Haitian cooking!

It’s a good book but it is not beginner friendly

The media could not be loaded.

I was going through the book and all the directions are pretty straight forward if you have any idea already on how to cook these foods. There’s not much detail or depth for beginners to be able to use this details. So buy with caution.
