We believe food brings people together. Our plan is to help families cook Haitian meals with confidence, joy, and great flavor, whether they are beginners or seasoned home cooks.

Education Through Haitian Food

Education is a big part of our work.

We will keep teaching people about Epis (eh-pees).
Epis meaning the green seasoning used in almost every Haitian dish.
Our Epis seasoning and Haitian spice blend make cooking easier and more approachable.

In 2026, you’ll see:

Simple recipes anyone can follow
Clear tips on how to use a Haitian spice blend every day
Helpful cooking lessons that feel friendly, not overwhelming

This book is so nostalgic! It has all the recipes that have been made by my family and the people at my church. Many of these I don’t know how to make but am excited to try! I know every cook adds their own touch so I think these are foundational and a great way to make each recipe your own. I wonder if they will taste like how I remember bc some seasonings are missing but remember everyone adds their own touch. I do wish each of the recipes had their own image of the finished product. I absolutely loved the beginning with all the vocabulary. It’s probably my favorite part of the book. I can’t wait to expand my culinary knowledge of my culture.

It’s a good book but it is not beginner friendly

The media could not be loaded.

I was going through the book and all the directions are pretty straight forward if you have any idea already on how to cook these foods. There’s not much detail or depth for beginners to be able to use this details. So buy with caution.
